Why flat fees
Hourly billing creates the wrong incentives. With a flat fee, you can make decisions without guessing what each call, email, or hearing will cost, and the work stays focused on moving your case toward a good result.
Once the flat fee is quoted and the scope defined, that number does not change because a hearing runs long or the prosecutor drags their feet. You know the cost and you know what is included.
Record sealing: a published flat fee
Nevada record sealing is a flat-fee service. The published fee is $1,800, with $900 down to start. It includes petition drafting, court filing, agency service, required reports when applicable, mailing, and attorney time from start to finish.
If your case history is more complex, Michael confirms the exact scope during the consultation so nothing is assumed.
Criminal defense, priced by the case
Criminal defense flat fees depend on charge level, court, complexity, and posture. A first-time misdemeanor in a city court is not priced like a felony with multiple hearings and motion practice. You get the full number before representation begins.
If the case changes in a way that changes the scope, Michael talks with you first and puts it in writing.
What your flat fee covers
Your flat fee covers strategy, negotiations, court appearances within scope, motion practice within scope, and the day-to-day attorney work needed to carry out the plan. You are not billed by the email, phone call, or hearing.
If something outside the original scope comes up, it is discussed with you first. Nothing is quietly added later, and nothing is retroactively billed.
